First Date
When people hear that the location Andrea and Eric's first date was at Sapphire Hotel they might get the wrong idea. It's actually a restaurant and cocktail lounge which is perfectly lit with vintage inspired lighting and has dark wood tables with velvet pillows for charm and comfort. The menu was entertaining as was the company and they both enjoyed easy conversation. They ended up having so much to say that they walked down to quite the opposite ambiance at a dive called The Space Room. Just one round is all they needed to decide to keep the evening rolling. It was a lot to take in with the ceiling coated in cheesy Christmas lights and the velvet murals of Mt. Hood on the walls. You know you've met one of the good ones when it clearly doesn't matter what the surroundings are as long as you are in it together.

Things get real
The one thing that Andrea really wanted in a partner was a foundation of good friendship and Eric is type of person who is a great friend naturally. This is one of the most important factors in their solid bond.It was on June 14th during a show for hip hop artist Sage Francis that Eric turned things up and well, put his hand up on her hip and when he dip, you dip, we dip. They danced to the same rhythm through the whole set and as they left the show he grabbed her hand and walked off into the night. After a few great strides she said, " Hey, you walk as fast as I do! And we could rule a three legged race!" He noticed that his native "hurry it up" New York cadence was easily met and they knew they'd go far! Eric and Andrea took a couple of weeks to talk about what they'd both like in a relationship and then decided to make it official.

Eric Proposes to Andrea
It was a crazy day that turned out to be one of the most memorable yet for these two. So much was going on with moving out of the condo and into the house. Andrea was also working a full day and had no idea what was in store. Eric picked her up that evening with two dozen roses, made sure she had her favorite dinner, and then wisked her away for a much needed massage. Eric had been secretly waiting for the day they bought a house to propose. He didn't waste any time and popped the question in front of the fire he built in their new house, on their first night there. Andrea coud hardly believe her eyes as Eric got down on one knee and asked her to share her life with him. Obviously you know what she said, unless of course this was all just one giant ruse.
